Merit Scholarships
Merit Scholarships are open to International students as follows:
Presidential Fellows Program Selected by the Committee on Admissions, eligible candidates will rank in the top five percent of their high school class, score at least 1450 on the SAT (or equivalent ACT), and show outstanding potential to be contributors to the university. Up to 25 scholarships that cover US $12,500 per year, plus a $1,500 internship, will be awarded.
Dean’s Scholarships Selected by the Committee on Admissions, eligible candidates will rank in the top five percent of their high school class and score at least 1380 on the SAT (or equivalent ACT). Up to 125 scholarships that cover US $10,000 per year will be awarded.
Campus Enrichment Scholarships Selected by the Committee on Admissions, eligible candidates will have life experiences that will contribute to the cultural and intellectual climate of the campus. First generation college students, students from outside the university’s traditional geographic area, and those who bring cultural and intellectual diversity to the campus will be considered. Up to 90 scholarships that cover US $6,000 per year will be awarded.
Performance Scholarships Music, Theatre, Dance, Art/Art History and Creative Writing Scholarships are each selected by their respective faculty departments. Awards range between US $2,500 and US $10,000 per year.
Athletic Awards Selected by the Department of Athletics, 6 first year students (3 men and 3 women), each year will receive Basketball Scholarships that cover tuition, fees, average room and average board.
